Who We Are
Drown Free Philippines Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to preventing drowning by educating children, youth, and adults empowering families and communities with life-saving knowledge and creating opportunities that protect those living in high-risk and underserved areas.
VISION
We envision a safer, stronger, and more empowered Philippines where every Filipino, regardless of background, has access to life-saving skills, opportunities in swimming, and a path to a better future in a Drown-Free Philippines.
MISSION
To lead the country in drowning prevention and community transformation by equipping every Filipino especially children and families in high-risk and underserved areas with life-saving swim skills, water safety knowledge, and opportunities for personal growth, athletic development, and livelihood.
OUR STORY
Bert “Tito Bert” Lozada dedicated his life to a dream a Philippines where no life is lost to drowning. Through his swim school and personal advocacy, he taught thousands of children, many from underprivileged families, the basic survival skill of swimming at no cost.
What he built went beyond lessons. It brought hope, confidence, and safety to families who never imagined they would have access to such skills.
To continue his mission, the Board of Trustees of the Bert Lozada Swim School established the Bert Lozada Foundation a commitment to carry on his legacy of saving lives, creating opportunities, and empowering children, families, and communities.
When Tito Bert’s son, Angelo Lozada, took the lead, he envisioned something even greater. He wanted the foundation to be inclusive welcoming all swim schools, coaches, and advocates who share the same vision, free from competition, and encouraging every initiative that protects lives.
He believed drowning prevention should never be about brand names, but about saving lives.
To fulfill that vision, the foundation embraced a new name and a broader mission.
Today, we are Drown Free Philippines Foundation, Inc. a movement that welcomes anyone who teaches swimming, water safety, or lifesaving, and supports every effort that helps protect Filipino families especially those in high-risk and underserved communities.
Our goal is simple and unchanged: to help build a Philippines where every child, every adult, and every community can live safely in and around water.
